Projects

Things I've built in my own time, from a puzzle app for my kids to a desktop tool for Iceberg tables. Some are in use; others are still being built.

Shipped

Finished and in use.

  • Puzzle games for children in Turkish. There are more than forty, and all of them play offline, on the web and on Android.

  • A map of where drones may and may not fly in Türkiye, with SHGM zones, temporary NOTAM restrictions, 3D terrain and the day's sun times. It is free and needs no account.

  • A desktop tool that draws an Iceberg, Paimon or Delta Lake table's metadata as a graph you can walk snapshot by snapshot, and checks every recorded figure against the files. It also runs in IntelliJ and as a CLI.

  • A Claude Code statusline that keeps every usage quota in view while you work. A pace arrow shows whether a window will run out before it resets.

  • oku

    live

A documentation kit. Pages are written in Markdown and rendered in the browser, and one command builds a searchable site, an llms.txt and a single-file copy of every page.

  • Merges many log files and archives into one stream in timestamp order. On an M1 Max it reads about 1 GB/s from disk.

  • A disk space analyzer for macOS that counts the bytes files really occupy and shows purgeable space apart from free space. It finds duplicate folders and shows a plan before anything goes to the Trash.

  • A browser extension that opens a card under the text you select. For a technical term it shows the sense that fits the page you are reading, ranked locally with no model and no account.

  • A browser extension for learning a language from films. It finds a subtitle for the video in the tab, keeps it in sync, shows a second language beside it and underlines words that are rare in film dialogue.

  • Toss

    live

One Go binary for sharing text, code, images and files between devices on a local network. The devices find each other by UDP broadcast, so there is nothing to set up.

  • A Minecraft Bedrock add-on built from my kids' ideas, with 70 kinds of TNT, trap blocks, magic items, four giant monsters and 135 disguises. All of it is generated from one Python file.

  • Pulls tasks from Vikunja, Plane, Jira, Microsoft To Do and Notion into one local file with one schema, and pushes changes back to Vikunja and Plane.

  • Makes Jira, Vikunja, Microsoft To Do and Notion work as git remotes. Fetch brings each task in as a file, push sends your edits back, and diff, log, blame and bisect work on tasks.

  • Tezgah

    live

A quote builder for a small workshop that cuts MDF and chipboard to order. An order entered once becomes a printable A4 quote with line items and VAT.

What I'm working on

Some of these stay private until they are ready.

  • Ajans

    coming soon

A local board for keeping track of coding-agent sessions: which ones are waiting for you, which are still working and what each one produced.

  • Bedesten

    in progress

Order tracking for tailoring and garment workshops. Many workshops share one platform, and each sees only its own orders.

  • Mütercim

    in progress

Translates a PDF into another language and keeps its layout. A seven-stage command-line pipeline goes from page images through layout detection, OCR and AI models to Markdown, LaTeX, PDF or DOCX.

  • Movies

    in progress

A film and TV catalogue that runs on my own machine, with 12.7 million IMDb titles in SQLite and posters and streaming availability from TMDB. My watch log is kept as plain files in git.

  • Sofra

    in progress

The kitchen planner we use at home. What is in the kitchen, what each person has accepted before and the week's nutrition go into one ranking, and how tonight's plate went is fed back in.

  • mesh

    in progress

One Go binary and one YAML file in place of several networking tools. It keeps SSH forwards up, syncs the clipboard and folders across machines, and translates between the Anthropic and OpenAI API formats.
